Virtual Bids is a tool available to Site Admin of lowest unique bid auction software for speeding up an auction pace. Virtual Bids can be activated on any auction and produce automatic bids.
Virtual Bids are managed through following fields:
Virtual Bid – if this field is active, virtual bids starting to work.
Minimal Amount of Bids:
Virtual Bids could be activated starting from the threshold limit – in this case they start work only when number of placed bid in auction reached X amount of bids. X is configured by Site Admin per auction.
By default this value is zero (empty) and this field is ignored.
Auto Bid Time Start: time before auction ends, starting from this time left virtual bids are placed. This value is set in minutes relative to auction finish time.
So, if this value is set to 120, it means that virtual bids will be placed on auction starting two hours (120 minutes) before auction finish time.
If the auction extended (that might happen if minimal amount of bids is not reached) and this value is set, virtual bids stop until next day. The next day this rule will be activated again automatically.
Auto Users: Virtual Bids assigned to the users marked as “Auto-User”. Site Admin should create these users manually (through regular registration form) and mark them as “Auto-Users”. Virtual Bids will not work if no auto-users have been created. Site Admin may create as much “Auto-Users” as he wants. The general idea is that this number should be big enough to look genuine.
Maximal Bids Amount: if this value is set, virtual bids are placed only until this amount of bids reached, when this amount is reached, the auction continues without automatic intervention.
If this value is not set, then virtual bids continue until auction ends.
Random Bids: by default, virtual bids always win. If this field is ticked, then bids are dispersed randomly through all range (between minimal and maximal bids). In this case regular user may win the auction/
Virtual Bids Tool is available as a plug-in and is not included in a standard version of the
lowest unique bid auction software
Caution: using virtual bids might cause lowest unique bid auction software to create a false impression of the intensive load, that might be be prohibited in your country. Please ask for a legal advice before running the auctions with this option enabled.
